About the event

Be part of the Stockport Town of Culture initiative and community project 'Sew Stockport Chronicles'.

Help to create a legacy artwork for the people of Stockport, by the people of Stockport, reflecting the community values, spirit and textile history of the area.

This relaxed and friendly workshop will be led by embroidery artist Stephanie Evans and vision board specialist Kimberley Drain from Self Care Creatives CIC.

Beginners are very welcome and all materials will be provided. Explore the Machine Floor of the Hat Museum, and be guided on how to use vision boards to plan, design and then sew a piece of embroidery artwork. Beginners are very welcome and all materials will be provided. The embroidery patches created will contribute to a collaborative artwork. Take part to get creative, meet other local people and raise the community spirit!

This is a free event as part of Stockport Arts and Health Week and funded by Stockport Town of Culture.
