About the event

A fully funded workshop for Deansgate residents to learn how to design, embroider and upcycle garments with local Embroidery Artist Stephanie Evans. Non-Deansgate residents are invited to check out our other workshops.

Bring along any clothing that you no longer wear due to damage, stains, or disrepair, either for yourself or your families.

Within this workshop you will learn the art of Visual Mending, transferring designs, mending and upcycling preloved clothing through hand embroidery, with long term skills learnt from the very first session.

Classes are centred on teaching visual mending and moneysaving practices with a key focus on benefiting mental wellbeing, positively effecting climate change, reducing household waste and encouraging reuse.

All participants will also receive a Repair yourself kit (containing QR code to digital workshops, plus essential tools and items for long term and ongoing repair).
